Iā€™ve spent the past 17 years active on a number of boards and committees, including Leadership Tomorrow, GISH Band Boosters, GISH Fine Arts, Gates PTA, Academies of Grand Island Senior High, Downtown BID, Junior Achievement and a few State Fair Can-Do Committees among others. I was also a mediocre little league baseball coach, Iā€™ve helped with GRACE Cancer Foundation and Race for GRACE, and have lent my talents here and there for many other area non-profits. Oh, Iā€™m also a so-so golfer in Riversideā€™s menā€™s league. My wife is an ultramarathon runner, so when not golfing in the summer I support her efforts.

Reason for Running for Public Office: I love Grand Island. I have felt community support in many endeavors through the years my wife and I raised our family here. We have donated our time and talents to many great organizations, but I felt serving in council was the best place for me to serve the community going forward. I want Grand Island to be a place my kids will eventually proudly call home someday.

Family Members: My wife Melissa and I have two kids who went through GIPS from kindergarten to graduation. Also, two miniature Schnauzers.
