All City of Grand Island full time employees, part time employees, seasonal employees, volunteers, coaches, sports officials and interns (excluding appointed officials) over the age of 18 will be required to pass a criminal background screening in order to be considered for employment or as a representative of the City of Grand Island.
I hereby authorize the City of Grand Island and its authorized representatives to obtain information from third parties regarding my background, general character and reputation. I understand this process will include the investigation and review of law enforcement and public records. The background checks will be applicable to the position, but not limited to, the following:
Criminal History Check
Sex Offender Registry Check
Department of Motor Vehicle Records Check
Consumer Credit Check for Applicable Positions
Address Checks
Employment Checks
Reference Checks
Social Security Number Check
Education Verification
I authorize this information to be obtained in writing, by electronic transmission or any other means. Any person, firm or organization receiving or providing information or records in accordance with this authorization is hereby released from any and all claims of liability that might arise from the inquiry into or disclosure of such information, including claims for defamation or invasion of privacy.
